2. Make sure you check the power points of your "expert group members" and come up with 2 challenging questions to ask about each topic; cultural diversity, capital punishment, genetic engineering and genocide/ethnic cleansing.
Copy the questions in your Grammar and Mechanics Notebook. Make sure you can also define each term.

3. "What Memorial Day Means To Me" is due, typed, on Wednesday, May 21st. It should be 1 1/2 to 2 pages typed, double spaced, and a 12 font.

4. We will work on the assessment for half of the period tomorrow and spend the remainder of the period discussing the book.

Today we began constructing our presentations. Whether you are doing a power point or constructing a tri fold, everyone must complete their presentation on google docs. You received a rubric which includes all the information you must include for your project which is due on Monday, May 5th.

We talked a little bit about Touching Spirit Bear and began reading the first chapter.

Tonight finish reading chapter one and  in your Vocabulary Note-taking Notebook write one quotation which resonates with you. In other words, write one sentence or a statement made by a character in chapter one and explain why or how you were affected by this line. Why does this quotation strike a chord? Explain in no less than 5 sentences why you were moved by this line.
