1. One printed copy of your story.
2. Illustrations to go with your story.
3. A cover indicating the title of your story and some illustration.
4. Your copy of your Touching Spirit Bear book.
5. A positive attitude and a willingness to share your story and illustrations with the rest of your class.

DON'T FORGET!!!! NO FLIP FLOPS!!!! DRESS FOR PLAYING OUTSIDE!!

Complete Your Story, Illustrations, and Cover!

Today, the entire period was devoted to typing the story and illustrating. The entire story should be completed by Wednesday. This means that story, cover, and illustrations should be finished.


Hunger Games tomorrow. Bring in a plain white t-shirt tomorrow to decorate if you did not get to decorate a shirt today.

Today presented one of the finest set of trials ever! I am soooooo proud of the wonderful, professional demeanor of ALL of you. Your costuming was great and very realistic. Thank you for ending the week on such a positive note.

Please have FOUR paragraphs completed for your stories. We will finish up the stories on Monday and begin typing and illustrating.

Perhaps you could begin thinking of a snappy title and an illustration for the cover.

Trial Tomorrow

Be ready to "hit the ground runing" when you come to class. We need to start right away.

What to wear:    Nice clothes, shirt, skirt, dress, tie, nice pants,  (don't worry too much about shoes, but no flip flops).

Attorneys, have your questions ready to fire at the pact and the witnesses.

Jury have a pen and paper ready!!!!!

Work on paragraph 4 of your story.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO WEAR BLACK AND WHITE!

Fill In Both Sides Of Sheet From Class Today.

Today we worked on our stories and received a rubric which we'll use to score our written masterpiece.
Name should be on both sides of the sheet and the Setting, Characters, and Problem should be written in complete sentences. On the reverse side, Chapters should be replaced by the word Paragraph. On the lines should be sentences indicating the main idea of each paragraph. EVERYONE needs to complete no less than THREE Chapters/Paragraphs. The Fourth paragraph will be assigned tomorrow night for homework so you might as well do it tonight.

We worked on the trial today, also. Make sure you are prepared for a run through tomorrow.

Everyone Bring In Signed Final.

Write an opening paragraph for your story. Use any 5 words correctly in the opening paragraph. If your opening paragraph is already done, write a second INDENTED paragraph using more vocabulary words correctly.

Remember to finish off the school year STRONG!!!!!

Fill In All The Parts Of The Story.

Today we reviewed vocabulary and also revisited the books we read this past year. Tonight for homework, you are responsible for identifying four characters (one from each book), setting, conflict (internal OR external), protagonist, antagonist, and a resolution. You are also responsible for using correctly any 20 vocabulary words from the list of 33. Write your answers in your Grammar and Mechanics Notebook.

Bring signed final in tomorrow.

Study Guide Questions 26-28.

We have finally finished the book Touching Spirit Bear but not all classes have finished reviewing the answers to the questions on Study Guide 26-28. Bring your completed Study Guide to class on Monday, June 4th.

Please have your grammar final signed by a parent.

We alphabetized the 33 remaining words from our vocabulary list, then we put them under the correct part of speech category. Next week we'll begin using them..........BUT HOW?????
