Two Typed Open Responses Due On Monday, April 29, 2013.

We have almost finished the book and I must admit I am impressed with your sensitivity toward Jonas's situation and commitment to saving Gabriel from Release. We will finish listening to Chapters 22 and 23 on Monday and then completely correct Quiz Time 20-23.

Requirements for open response:

TYPED 12 FONT
NAME AND DATE TYPED (NOT WRITTEN) AT THE TOP OF THE PAPER.
TYPE THE QUESTION (PLEASE TYPE THE ANSWERS ON TWO SEPARATE SHEETS OF PAPER) I HAVE A REASON FOR DOING SO. TRUST ME!




40 POINTS  STRONG OPENING (TOPIC) SENTENCE AND STRONG CLOSING SENTENCE.
40 POINTS  STRONG DETAILS TO SUPPORT YOUR ANSWER (QUOTATIONS).
20 POINTS  CONVENTIONS


BE SURE TO USE A GRAPHIC ORGANIZER BEFORE TYPING YOUR ANSWER. ALSO, MAKE SURE IF YOU ANSWER QUESTIONS 1 AND 4 YOUR ANSWERS INCLUDE 2 PARAGRAPHS CONTAINING NO LESS THAN 8 SENTENCES EACH.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO ANSWER QUESTION 2 YOUR ANSWER CAN BE WRITTEN IN A LETTER FORM. THE BODY OF THE LETTER SHOULD CONTAIN 10-15 SENTENCES.

TYPE 3 MORE CAPTIONS.

Today we devoted a good chunk of  class time to working on our Penny Book. Please follow the homework schedule.

1. Type 3 more captions for your Penny Book. Bring a printed copy to class. You can have more than one caption on computer paper for editing.

2. Finish reading The Giver for Friday, April 26th.

3. We will begin assembling our Penny Books on Monday, April 29th.

4. Penny Book due by May 15th. (Every day after May 15th will result in a 10 point reduction per day).

5. Giver Final tentatively April 30th, May 1st.

TYPE 5 CAPTIONS FOR YOUR PENNY BOOK.

After the test today, we began working on our captions.

Bring in 5 pictures (or more) and as many pennies as you can find from 1999-2012 (don't worry about 2013).

Type no less than 5 sentences for each caption. Use a 12 font and don't forget to refer to your rubric for information about how your Penny Book will be graded.

You can read up to Chapter 21 for Thursday, April 25.

WOW! I Have Not Blogged Since Monday!
