We began officially working on the trial today. The members of the pact discussed questions they might be asked during cross examination. Members of the jury formalized some of the information they feel should be made public while  prosecuting and defense attorneys shared and formulated tough questions for the members of the pact.

Make sure you stay on top of your reading and complete Study Guide 22-25 for Friday.

Write down 7 well-thought, well-worded questions tonight for the attorneys to ask the members of the pact and their character witnesses. Copy these in your Grammar and Mechanics notebooks tonight for homework. Make sure you have clothes in mind for the trial. No need to go shopping. Let me know what you need!

Today we read and discussed Chapters 16-18. Cole has been taught a very "resourceful" way to release his anger while on the island. Edwin and Garvey have regained custody of Cole and from their own personal experiences, they are now able to help him to heal.

Don' forget to type your "found poem" tonight.

Each poem should have a Title centered at the top of the poem.

Make sure your name is TYPED at the top left hand corner.

Make sure your poem contains 5 quatrains, each line containing at least 5-7 words.

Make sure each line is surrounded by quotation marks.

Make sure you have a page number at the end of the quotation and it is contained in parenthesis. (p.22).

Today we corrected last night's homework which was to answer the questions for chapters 13-15 in complete sentences.

We received our quizzes from last week which need to be signed by a parent.

Tonight we will study ALL the vocabulary for a quiz tomorrow. We should also be very familiar with the information in chapters 13-15.

Today we also began writing "found poetry" about Cole Matthews. All 20 lines are to be written or printed in your Vocabulary/Notetaking Notebook for homework.

Quiz on Wednesday on 10 vocabulary words and 10 questions. BE PREPARED!!!!!

Today we decorated our pot pourri creations and edited our poems. Tonight we are responsible for typing up the final copy and decorating our poem with a picture of "you know who" and you!!!
