Simple and Compound Sentences, Chapter 4 Quarer Notes.

Today we corrected The Independent and Dependent Clauses homework and used the Smartboard to play a reinforcement game.

Homework tonight is to complete the back of last night's homework "Simple and Compound Sentences."

Study and copy:

A simple sentence is an independent clause.

A compound sentence contains two independent clauses and is joined by a conjunction. (and, or, but).

Another name for a dependent clause is a subordinate clause.
